Together with Hanan Badr, I co- edited this special issue in the German Edition of the Global Media Journal.
The special issues features three original contributions; (1) “Covid-19 from the Margins: Crafting a (Cosmopolitan) Theory” by Silvia Masiero, Stefania Milan and Emiliano Treré; (2) “A Global Communication M.A. Double Degree Program: Conceptualizing and working through diversity” by Byron Hauck and Joseph Nicolai; and (3)“Towards cosmopolitanism in German academia? Shedding light on colonial underpinnings of communication research in a globalized world” by Camila Nobrega Rabello Alves and Débora Medeiros, as well as additional articles and book reviews alongside the theme of creating epistemic diversity in media and communication studies.
